Benin Teachers on Strike

Teachers in the small West African state of Benin have been on strike since 8th January
The teachers are on strike for more secure contracts and better salaries. The working conditions for teachers and children in Benin are very bad - less than 20% of children are enrolled in secondary schools and the education system is chaotic.
