A Protest Rally against Public Spending Cuts in Riga, Latvia
Education Iternational held a Round Table in Budapest earlier this week at which they called for teaching unions to join together to fight cutbacks in education spending as a result of the economic crisis
They issued a statement at the end of the conference in which they call for unions to form alliances 'with other trade unions, union federations and civil society organisations to fight unacceptable government policies and . . .co-operate more at both national and international level.'
