Italian Teachers to strike on October 30th
Italian teachers’ unions are calling a strike for October 30th to protest against massive cuts planned in the Italian education system
The government plans would include cutting the school week by nearly a half and getting rid of specialist teachers in most subjects. The unions estimate that 140,000 jobs will be lost in education including 80,000 teaching jobs.
