Romanian Teachers to Strike Against Cuts
Teachers along with other public servants are planning strike action in the face of massive cuts in the education budget
Teachers will be striking alongside policemen, doctors and other public service workers on October 5th to protest against the massive cuts which have been ordered by the International Monetary Fund (IMF)
Teachers have already been on strike this year against a pay freeze and a refusal to pay a promised increase of 50% on their meagre average salaries of $485 per month. (see previous posts)
