Teachers from the Turkish Teaching Union Egitim Sen are facing long prison sentences
The 27 teachers together with 4 members of other public services were in court on June 22nd and had their case adjourned until October. They are charged with belonging to an illegal Kurdish organisation. Education International (EI) has expressed concern that the teachers are not getting a fair trial and sent a delegation to be present at the hearing.
